Technician II – AMC Operations
What you’ll do:
Individual will be required to support light manufacturing duties.
Interpret mechanical drawings (AutoCAD) for dimensions and part identifications for the product build
Build robust products that match the mechanical drawings
The manufacturing process will include the use of various hand tools and machinery (including saws and drills).
Individual will take direction from the lead, but must be a well-organized self-starter capable of working on his/her own, unsupervised for periods of time.
Job requires 70% standing and 30% sitting.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What you’ll need:
High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 2 years or more related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Individual must have knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
Must be a well-organized self-starter.
Must have skills in fabrication/assembly.
Experience using a variety of hand tools and machinery.
Must be able to operate a fork lift and pallet jack. Overhead crane experience is desired.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Other desirable capabilities include electrical schematic knowledge with basic wiring skills and 2D AutoCAD drawing skills.
Work is performed in an office, clean room, laboratory, manufacturing floor or machine shop environment.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
