Primary Purpose of Position:
Manages and is responsible for the strategic and commercial analysis functions for Beverage Packaging North and Central America as directed. Ensures the analysis functions meet the division’s overall plans and objectives. Coordinates and ties these objectives to the Global Commercial Team, while supporting the Key Account needs in evaluating new business opportunities within their accounts and bringing creative value accretive opportunities.
Leads the effort in effectively evaluating potential opportunities and future business investments. Provides recommendations and leads multi-functional discussions around future investment/opportunity seeking
Works across global key accounts and regional business to provide direction on value of opportunities and investment requirements. Works with regions to translate regional account plans into global plans and ensures alignment with global strategy.
Responsible for generating commercial foot print analysis using Ball supply and demand data, market data, and future opportunities
Ensures that the sales team and senior management are aligned on assumptions, risks, and opportunities in long-term footprint and category investment.
Manages ongoing communication of impacts to network and ball demand caused by can market trends and market share developments.
Engaged in Beverage Model management, ensuring model is optimized and data output it transformed into actionable insights that inform and support the strategic vision of the business.
Monitors competitor actions, competitive environment, and company performance to generate actionable insights and provide strategic recommendations
Develops, evaluates, and presents strategic, operational, and financial analyses for current and new business initiatives on a cross-functional basis
Generates business cases for solving a variety of business problems and advises BPNCA management on courses of action.
Drives and oversees the business case development/EVA analysis, feasibility, price modeling to provide new capability recommendations to senior management
Develop, coordinate and monitor joint customer value creation plans, including identification of new profit pools (eg. innovation, product mix, new categories, new geographies, logistics, lightweighting, etc.)
Creates presentations that are clear and intuitive that provide a compelling argument and help influence and guide business decision making.
Responsible for developing and implementing portions of the BPNCA strategic planning and analysis process.
Manages ongoing business relationships with data vendors, consultants, and selected partners.
Leads and develops direct reports
Broad training in a related field usually acquired through bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics
Job related experience with a Fortune 500 company for 2 years, minimum.
Approaches complex problems through sound problem solving methodology
Ability to create and run network and financial modeling, analyze and interpret the data, and make recommendations to the business.
Working knowledge of following areas: corporate strategy, business development, finance, accounting Economic Value Added (EVA), business and economic principles and practices, financial modeling, network modeling
Ability to effectively present complex information effectively
Ability to make create compelling presentations that outline actionable insights
Meets deadlines, concentrates, and pays attention to detail. Looks for errors or irregularities in the data and investigates. Makes sound assumptions and can justify those decisions
Requires creativity, originality, and judgement
Brings an innate sense of curiosity
