Ball Corporation Manager, Regional Process - Line Control (NCA) in Westminster, Colorado

Position overview:

As the Manager, Regional Process-Line Control, youre a key member of the North & Central America (NCA) Manufacturing Team, reporting to the Director Technical Process NCA . You will contribute to the success of Ball by leading a team to enhance technology and productivity for all NCA Ball plants, optimizing machine processes for efficiency and quality You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering for process enhancements across all lines.

Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a team of Controls Engineers for the optimization of line control and line simulation software.

  • Safeguard the use of appropriate and consistent technologies; maintain new technologies system wide as required.

  • Develop, implement and maintain PLC hardware and software standards for new and existing sites.

  • Ensure infrastructure is effective across regional facilities.

  • Emphasize and drive team to improve the systems for line control and equipment with the end goal of maximizing Asset Utilization throughout the plant network.

  • Provide training to plant personnel for the implementation and support of the newly implemented line control system.

  • Provide training for development software for plant personnel to perform modeling on their own.

  • Establish and maintain PLC standards for new and old sites and support new site implementation as required.

  • Ensure line control team and site electricians are competent on PLC programming, agreeing and setting relevant access rights.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls or similar preferred or extensive work experience will be considered in lieu of bachelors degree.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in automated and high speed manufacturing or other related work experience/field.

  • Leadership and Team Collaboration:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team.

  • Excellent communications skills and collaboration skills with an ability to participate with functional equals across the organization through all stages of planning and development of program objectives.

  • Analysis Skills:

  • Highly organized with problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.

  • Intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard information services, techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of PLCs.

  • Experience project planning and management experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Remote Work Environment : This position is eligible to be REMOTE in the U.S., preferably with a home base within a 50-mile radius of a major airport, due to travel requirements. Travel and local commute (50-60%) between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations will be required.

  • Hiring Salary Range: $93,100 - $142,140 USD*. *Salary to be determined by the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
