Industrial Security Professional I

What you’ll do:

  • Research, interpret and apply guidance from technical publications, federal regulations, and standard operating procedures to determine best methods of implementation.

  • Develop plans, process personnel, coordinate with Program Managers, respond to alarms, conduct personnel database searches.

  • Identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope.

  • Evaluate complex problems and recommend solutions based on approved guidance.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written.

  • Produce appropriate, clear, concise, and detailed documentation.

  • Plan, schedule, prioritize and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives.

  • Must voluntarily participate in a customer sponsored CI scope polygraph, if required

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you’ll need:

  • BS/BA in a related field.

  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Pertinent knowledge, skills and abilities can be derived from work experience within government or private sector positions directly involved within the classified security industry (Department of Defense (DoD), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Programs (SAP).

  • General knowledge of security concepts and principles as they apply to personnel security clearance administration.

  • General understanding of practices as it relates to operational security, physical security and information security.

  • Knowledge of proper handling, securing and distributing of classified or otherwise sensitive materials.

  • Experience drafting, producing and/or publishing detailed technical documents, policies, standard operating procedures, or similar items.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and technically competent with computer and database functions.

  • Experience in program security, working directly with special access programs, sensitive compartmented information, or other related classified information.

  • Experience with developing, preparing, coordinating and conducting various Security Education, Training Awareness plans, and refresher briefings.

  • Working knowledge of JPAS, SIMS, Scattered Castles, or similar databases.

  • Familiarity with NISPOM, ICDs 704 and 705, JSIG, DoDM 5205.07, and/or risk management framework.

  • Knowledge or experience in program management.

  • Familiarity with DD254s, SCGs, OWAs, OPSEC plans, and other items related to sensitive programs.

  • Experience with contracts, proposals and/or acquisitions between defense contractors and government offices.

  • Knowledge of requirements for SCIF and/or SAPF accreditation.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.

  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Security Clearance:

Successful candidate will have completed a government national security clearance investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. *U.S. Citizenship is Required.
