We have developed an exciting new product—an aluminum cup—that we now are ready to bring to market. Lightweight and infinitely recyclable, the cup is a sustainable solution for sports, music and festival venues, as well as consumers, who are looking for a sustainable packaging solution.
Ball is seeking a Director, Retail/Commercial to own the sales process for our new Aluminum Cups business. This involves its implementation, compliance, and governance. The director owns sales reporting and analysis of all aspects of the commercial function including pipeline, performance metrics, trends, forecasting and new opportunities. This role will be imperative to the successful launch and expansion of the Aluminum Cups business and will assume a key leadership position in the business.
Direct a team focused on developing business revenue streams including but not limited to new outlets, distribution points, and reaching incremental consumers
Lead cross-functional team (marketing, sales, R & D, etc) with a focus on developing new distribution outlets focused on Sports/Entertainment, Retail, Foodservice and Distribution customers
Provide management with a complete picture of sales, contract implantations and renewals of the aluminum cups commercial function
Direct the disciplines and information required to help drive sales performance, sales capability, predictability, and efficiency.
Direct and drive the consistent execution of our sales methodology, processes, tools, and procedures coupled with continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, forecasting and performance metrics
Mobilizes new demand directly with national and regional Retail, Foodservice and Entertainment customers
Works with partners and brokers to set and monitor sales targets, grow scale and momentum in order to grow sales and meet business objectives.
Forecasts the new business and sets pricing by channel
Develops new commercial capabilities and team

Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college level education or work-related experience
Job related experience for 7+ year(s) minimum, 7+ years of leadership
Experience managing technology in a large, complex environment.
Proven project planning and management experience.
Working knowledge of the following areas:
system and business principles,
Generally accepted managerial practices and procedures
programming, systems design, computer operating systems and utilities, project management, risk management, security, cost management, implementation and start-up of new business processes and computerized systems
as it relates to information services, of purchasing, legal contracts, taxes, leases, licenses, accounting, economics, depreciation, capitalization, accruals, ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), auditing (internal and external), insurance, and contract negotiations
Exceptional understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
