Qualifications:

Associate Help Desk Specialist

What you'll do:

  • Respond to customer requests for assistance with computer software/hardware.

  • Respond to user account and password resets.

  • Provide troubleshooting for software, installation of software.

  • Troubleshoot networking issues – LAN and Wireless.

  • Troubleshoot remote access – VDI, VPN, Remote Desktop.

  • Work on in a rotating shift with others for phone and ticket coverage.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you'll need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Knowledge of PC software and networking: classes and/or experience.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate tasks.

  • Ability to perform computer troubleshooting functions.

  • An understanding of Windows 7 and 10 desktop operating systems.

  • An understanding of Windows Office 365 Pro Plus suite.

  • An understanding Apple iPhones.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other trouble ticketing tools a bonus.

  • This position requires the future ability to obtain a clearance.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment.

  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Security Clearance:

Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access to classified/sensitive material. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. *US Citizenship is Required.
