Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Our avionics cyber team supports multiple projects to develop critical cyber security tools and capabilities for avionics systems. This team develops technologies for cyber assessment, mitigations, protections, and revolutionary new avionics architectures for inherently secure platforms. In this position, you will support our engineering teams to ensure quality and mission assurance for artifacts, software and hardware deliverables.
What you’ll do:
Work with leadership and engineering team to identify quality assurance requirements and establish a Quality Assurance Plan for the program.
Work with project leads to establish, communicate, and administer effective quality assurance processes and best practices.
Tailor quality assurance processes for customer contractual and operational requirements.
Coordinate all aspects quality assurance for all program deliverables.
Review and assess all test, qualification, and certification reports for contract compliance and assist with qualification and certification of software and hardware products.
Streamline technical and business-related processes during design and build phases of the development lifecycle.
Review technical documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness to mitigate risk of all types.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What you’ll need:
BS in Information Technology or a related technical field plus 8 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Experience with CMMI Level 3 or above quality assurance processes.
Knowledge of government standards and how to align those processes with the development methodology.
Knowledge of code check-in/check-out process, release management, and change management.
High attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Strong team focus and interpersonal skills.
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access to classified/sensitive material. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. *US Citizenship is Required.
