Ball Aerospace is a prime contractor leading development teams at AFRL and NASIC. Dayton personnel develop advanced hardware and software systems and provide management services to solve customer problems and create new capabilities. Industrial Security Associate I
What you’ll do:
Administrative Security position supporting Security Control at Wright-Patterson AFB.
Edit and modify security plans using NISPOM and DOD references as policy guidance.
Prepare administrative communications to include but not limited to document control receipts, Fax transmittals, and security control records.
Maintain tracking records and filing systems.
Answer telephone calls, direct calls to appropriate branch or office and take messages.
Issue security-related equipment, records, receipts, and supplies.
Assist with work pertaining to the procurement, inventory control and destruction of cryptographic material used by agency.
Work with security and technical specialists, as well as program managers to administer personnel and physical security requirements.
Administer clearance/access for projects.
Open/Close security facility(s).
Interface with customers at all levels to implement security procedures.
Process personnel security requirements for Government Customer.
Update security data, run inquiries, provide quality control, develop reports using various DoD databases.
Prepare and present security education and awareness training.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What you’ll need:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Current Secret Clearance Required.
Experience with and an understanding of the principles of industrial security methods preferred.
Familiarity with facility access control systems.
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Successful candidate will have completed a government national security clearance investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. *U.S. Citizenship is Required.
