This position is contingent on award of program and subsequent task orders.

Network Administrator II

What you’ll do:

  • Administer the client’s network infrastructure.

  • Administer the client’s network security infrastructure.

  • Administer the client’s telecommunications infrastructure.

  • Utilize thorough knowledge of the following platforms to ensure stable operations throughout the enterprise:

  • LAN, CAN, WAN, MAN solutions

  • Load balancing and WAN acceleration solutions

  • Network monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization and reporting

  • Wireless, video conferencing and IP-based voice solutions

  • Network protocols

  • Assist in establishing and adhering to standard processes and documentation.

  • Provide technical guidance to ensure stable system configuration and maintenance support.

  • Execute advanced troubleshooting skills to address stability objectives.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you’ll need:

  • BS in Information Technology or a related technical field plus 5 or more years related experience.

  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Current Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or higher.

  • Current CompTIA SEC+ or CCNA-Security certification or higher.

  • Experience with Cisco routers.

  • Experience with Cisco switches.

  • Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.

  • Experience with VLANs, VPNs and routing protocols.

  • Experience with using Wireshark for raw packet analysis.

  • Cisco Unified Collaboration Infrastructure and Technologies including CUCM, Cisco IP Phones, Unity Connection, Jabber, Video Conferencing preferred.

  • Experience with voice signaling and call control protocols preferred

  • Python scripting experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.

  • Foreign travel (hazardous and non-hazardous) and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Security Clearance:

Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access to classified/sensitive material. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. *US Citizenship is Required.
