Contracts Administrator III
What You'll Do
Collaborate with all levels of program and functional personnel and business unit leadership to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with program team and customer personnel for the advancement of long-term business opportunities.
Evaluate Requests for Proposals, identify business risks, and propose and negotiate terms and conditions that mitigate business risks.
Assume a leadership role or support proposal development of new business and contract change order proposals.
Review and interpret contracts, modifications and change orders; prepare contract review records and obtain necessary management approvals.
Recommend and implement negotiation strategies and techniques.
May prepare presentations for program and customer management review.
Prepare and maintain required contract administration documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
Develop and provide required information to Supply Chain and Program Management organizations.
Engage company empowered official when any International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) actions are required.
Negotiate favorable payment terms to affect cash flow.
Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need
BS in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Government and Commercial (domestic and international desirable) contracts experience.
CFCM, CPCM or equivalent certification desirable.
Experienced with cost reimbursable contracts.
Experience with Firm Fixed Price contracts.
Experience with DoD and major Aerospace primes preferred.
Strong oral and written communications skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations.
Ability to work a variety of moderately complex issues at one time.
Experience in developing and implementing negotiation strategies.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
