Analyst I – Financial Planning & Analysis: Engineering Operations & Security Mission Assurance
Provide financial solutions to enable the company to manage and project budgets, rates, financial forecasts, and financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
Financial support to the Engineering Operations and Security Mission Assurance business areas including: strong communications, financial reviews, and financial reporting and analysis.
Application, tracking and reporting of metrics.
Support indirect budget build-up, analysis and variance reporting, including:
Use of the current budgeting software – Contributor
Use of the Electronic Date Warehouse (EDW) PivotTables to pull in the actuals and to create variance reports, which are then provided to the Budget Managers
Ability to research labor and non-labor charges for appropriateness and make corrections as necessary
Ability to communicate and work with budget managers to update budgets/labor utilizations
Monitor non-labor and ensure processes are being followed
Ability to analyze data using financial tools and assess the reason for trends and root causes driving variances and recommend appropriate actions
Support of and timely efforts for the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP). These projections may include rates for labor, indirect costs, material obsolescence and usage, spare parts provisioning, and material handling (per FAR Definitions 15.801).
Support Disclosure Statement(s) updates and cost impact assessments
Support audits by gathering and analyzing documentation
Ability to learn the Ball Aerospace Resource Tool (BART), in support of:
Forecasting Capital projects
Updating PowerPivot consolidations and assist with the preparation of review packages
Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner
Ability to meet deadlines, with solid organization skills, with attention to detail and priorities
Ability to communicate and write effectively, with strong presentation skills
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, SBUs/SSUs and the company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need
BS/BA in a related field.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Microsoft Office experience.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access to classified/sensitive material. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. *US Citizenship is Required.
